Surah Yaseen

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. يسٓ ﴿١﴾

   Yaa-Seeen

   یسٰں

   Yaa-Seen (Alphabets of Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.)

   36:1

2. وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ ﴿٢﴾

   Wal-Qur-aanil-Hakeem

   حکمت والے قرآن کی قسم،

   By oath of the wise Qur’an.

   36:2

3. إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿٣﴾

   Innaka laminal mursaleen

   بیشک تم

   You (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) are indeed one of the Noble Messengers.

   36:3

4. عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ ﴿٤﴾

   'Alaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

   سیدھی راہ پر بھیجے گئے ہو

   On the Straight Path.

   36:4

5. تَنزِيلَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ﴿٥﴾

   Tanzeelal 'Azeezir Raheem

   عزت والے مہربان کا اتارا ہوا،

   (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful.

   36:5

6. لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًۭا مَّآ أُنذِرَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَٰفِلُونَ ﴿٦﴾

   Litunzira qawmam maaa unzira aabaaa'uhum fahum ghaafiloon

   تاکہ تم اس قوم کو ڈر سناؤ جس کے باپ دادا نہ ڈرائے گئے تو وہ بے خبر ہیں،

   So that you may warn these people whose ancestors were not warned, they are therefore unaware.

   36:6

7. لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٧﴾

   Laqad haqqal qawlu 'alaaa aksarihim fahum laa yu'minoon

   بیشک ان میں اکثر پر بات ثابت ہوچکی ہے تو وہ ایمان نہ لائیں گے

   Undoubtedly, it (their disbelief) has proved true for most of them, so they will not believe.

   36:7

8. إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِىٓ أَعْنَٰقِهِمْ أَغْلَٰلًۭا فَهِىَ إِلَى ٱلْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ ﴿٨﴾

   Innaa ja'alnaa feee a'naaqihim aghlaalan fahiya ilal azqaani fahum muqmahoon

   ہم نے ان کی گردنو ں میں طوق کردیے ہیں کہ وہ ٹھوڑیوں تک ہیں تو یہ اوپر کو منہ اٹھائے رہ گئے

   We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards.

   36:8

9. وَجَعَلْنَا مِنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّۭا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّۭا فَأَغْشَيْنَٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٩﴾

   Wa ja'alnaa mim baini aydeehim saddanw-wa min khalfihim saddan fa aghshai naahum fahum laa yubsiroon

   اور ہم نے ان کے آگے دیوار بنادی اور ان کے پیچھے ایک دیوار اور انہیں اوپر سے ڈھانک دیا تو انہیں کچھ نہیں سوجھتا

   And We have set a wall before them and a wall behind them, and covered the top – so they are unable to see anything.

   36:9

10. وَسَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿١٠﴾

    Wa sawaaa'un 'alaihim 'a-anzartahum am lam tunzirhum laa yu'minoon

    اور انہیں ایک سا ہے تم انہیں ڈراؤٕ یا نہ ڈراؤ وہ ایمان لانے کے نہیں،

    And it is the same for them, whether you warn them or do not warn them – they will not believe.

    36:10

11. إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَخَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍۢ وَأَجْرٍۢ كَرِيمٍ ﴿١١﴾

    Innamaa tunziru manit taba 'az-Zikra wa khashiyar Rahmaana bilghaib, fabashshirhu bimaghfiratinw-wa ajrin kareem

    تم تو اسی کو ڈر سناتے ہو جو نصیحت پر چلے اور رحمن سے بے دیکھے ڈرے، تو اسے بخشش اور عزت کے ثواب کی بشارت دو

    You warn only him who follows the advice and fears the Most Gracious without seeing; therefore give him glad tidings of forgiveness and an honourable reward.

    36:11

12. إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا۟ وَءَاثَٰرَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ﴿١٢﴾

    Innaa Nahnu nuhyil mawtaa wa naktubu maa qaddamoo wa aasaarahum; wa kulla shai'in ahsainaahu feee Imaamim Mubeen

    بیشک ہم مُردوں کو جِلائیں گے اور ہم لکھ رہے ہیں جو انہوں نے آگے بھیجا اور جو نشانیاں پیچھے چھوڑ گئے اور ہر چیز ہم نے گن رکھی ہے ایک بتانے والی کتاب میں

    We will surely bring the dead to life and We record what they send ahead and the signs they will leave behind; and We have accounted all things in a clear Book.

    36:12

13. وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَآءَهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿١٣﴾

    Wadrib lahum masalan Ashaabal Qaryatih; iz jaaa'ahal mursaloon

    اور ان سے نشانیاں بیان کرو اس شہر والوں کی جب ان کے پاس فرستادے (رسول) آئے،

    And relate to them the signs of the people of the city – when two emissaries came to them.

    36:13

14. إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍۢ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

    Iz arsalnaaa ilaihimusnaini fakazzaboohumaa fa'azzaznaa bisaalisin faqaalooo innaaa ilaikum mursaloon

    جب ہم نے ان کی طرف دو بھیجے پھر انہوں نے ان کو جھٹلایا تو ہم نے تیسرے سے زور دیا اب ان سب نے کہا کہ بیشک ہم تمہاری طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں،

    When We had sent two towards them and they denied them both, so We fortified them with a third, and they all said, “Indeed we have been sent to you.”

    36:14

15. قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

    Qaaloo maaa antum illaa basharum mislunaa wa maaa anzalar Rahmaanu min shai'in in antum illaa takziboon

    بولے تم تو نہیں مگر ہم جیسے آدمی اور رحمن نے کچھ نہیں اتارا تم نرے جھوٹے ہو،

    They said, “You are nothing but mortals like us; the Most Gracious has not sent down anything – you are nothing but liars.”

    36:15

16. قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿١٦﴾

    Qaaloo Rabbunaa ya'lamu innaaa ilaikum lamursaloon

    وہ بولے ہمارا رب جانتا ہے کہ بیشک ضرور ہم تمہاری طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں،

    They answered, “Our Lord knows that surely, without doubt, we have been sent towards you.”

    36:16

17. وَمَا عَلَيْنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ ﴿١٧﴾

    Wa maa 'alainaaa illal balaaghul mubeen

    اور ہمارے ذمہ نہیں مگر صاف پہنچا دینا

    “And our duty is nothing but to plainly convey (the message).”

    36:17

18. قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ ۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهُوا۟ لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ ﴿١٨﴾

    Qaaloo innaa tataiyarnaa bikum la'il-lam tantahoo lanar jumannakum wa la-yamassan nakum minnaa 'azaabun aleem

    بولے ہم تمہیں منحوس سمجھتے ہیں بیشک اگر تم باز نہ آئے تو ضرور ہم تمہیں سنگسار کریں گے بیشک ہمارے ہاتھوں تم پر دکھ کی مار پڑے گی،

    They (the people of the city) said, “We think you are ominous; indeed, if you do not desist, we shall surely stone you to death, and you will surely face a grievous torture at our hands.”

    36:18

19. قَالُوا۟ طَٰٓئِرُكُم مَّعَكُمْ ۚ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ مُّسْرِفُونَ ﴿١٩﴾

    Qaaloo taaa'irukum ma'akum; a'in zukkirtum; bal antum qawmum musrifoon

    انہوں نے فرمایا تمہاری نحوست تو تمہارے ساتھ ہے کیا اس پر بدکتے ہو کہ تم سمجھائے گئے بلکہ تم حد سے بڑھنے والے لوگ ہو

    They said, “Your evil omens are with you! What! You get annoyed for being advised? In fact you are a people who transgress the limits!”

    36:19

20. وَجَآءَ مِنْ أَقْصَا ٱلْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌۭ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿٢٠﴾

    Wa jaaa'a min aqsal madeenati rajuluny yas'aa qaala yaa qawmit tabi'ul mursaleen

    اور شہر کے پرلے کنارے سے ایک مرد دوڑتا آیا بولا، اے میری قوم! بھیجے ہوؤں کی پیروی کرو،

    And from the outermost part of the city came a man running; he said, “O my people! Obey those who have been sent.”

    36:20

21. ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَن لَّا يَسْـَٔلُكُمْ أَجْرًۭا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ ﴿٢١﴾

    Ittabi'oo mal-laa yas'alukum ajranw-wa hum muhtadoon

    ایسوں کی پیروی کرو جو تم سے کچھ نیگ (اجر) نہیں مانگتے اور وہ راہ پر ہیں،

    “Obey those who do not ask any fee from you, and they are on guidance.”

    36:21

22. وَمَا لِىَ لَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾

    Wa maa liya laaa a'budul lazee fataranee wa ilaihi turja'oon

    اور مجھے کیا ہے کہ اس کی بندگی نہ کروں جس نے مجھے پیدا کیا اور اسی کی طرف تمہیں پلٹنا ہے،

    “And what is the matter with me that I should not worship Him Who created me, whereas it is towards Him that you are to return?”

    36:22

23. ءَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ بِضُرٍّۢ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّى شَفَٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يُنقِذُونِ ﴿٢٣﴾

    'A-attakhizu min dooniheee aalihatan iny-yuridnir Rahmaanu bidurril-laa tughni 'annee shafaa 'atuhum shai 'anw-wa laa yunqizoon

    کیا اللہ کے سوا اور خدا ٹھہراؤں کہ اگر رحمٰن میرا کچھ برا چاہے تو ان کی سفارش میرے کچھ کام نہ آئے اور نہ وہ مجھے بچاسکیں،

    “What! Shall I appoint Gods other than Allah? So that if the Most Gracious should wish me any harm, their intercession would be of no use to me, nor would they be able to save me?”

    36:23

24. إِنِّىٓ إِذًۭا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٢٤﴾

    Inneee izal-lafee dalaa-lim-mubeen

    بیشک جب تو میں کھلی گمراہی میں ہو

    “Undoubtedly, I am then in open error.”

    36:24

25. إِنِّىٓ ءَامَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَٱسْمَعُونِ ﴿٢٥﴾

    Inneee aamantu bi Rabbikum fasma'oon

    مقرر میں تمہارے رب پر ایمان لایا تو میری سنو

    “Indeed I have believed in your Lord, so heed me.”

    36:25

26. قِيلَ ٱدْخُلِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ ۖ قَالَ يَٰلَيْتَ قَوْمِى يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾

    Qeelad khulil Jannnah; qaala yaa laita qawmee ya'lamoon

    اس سے فرمایا گیا کہ جنت میں داخل ہو کہا کسی طرح میری قوم جانتی،

    It was said to him, “Enter Paradise”; he said, “If only my people knew!”

    36:26

27. بِمَا غَفَرَ لِى رَبِّى وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ ﴿٢٧﴾

    Bimaa ghafara lee Rabbee wa ja'alanee minal mukrameen

    جیسی میرے رب نے میری مغفرت کی اور مجھے عزت والوں میں کیا

    “The manner in which my Lord has pardoned me and made me of the honoured ones!”

    36:27

28. ۞ وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِن جُندٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ ﴿٢٨﴾

    Wa maaa anzalnaa 'alaa qawmihee mim ba'dihee min jundim minas-samaaa'i wa maa kunnaa munzileen

    اور ہم نے اس کے بعد اس کی قوم پر آسمان سے کوئی لشکر نہ اتارا اور نہ ہمیں وہاں کوئی لشکر اتارنا تھا،

    And after him, We did not send down any army from heaven against his people, nor did We intend to send down an army.

    36:28

29. إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ فَإِذَا هُمْ خَٰمِدُونَ ﴿٢٩﴾

    In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum khaamidoon

    وہ تو بس ایک ہی چیخ تھی جبھی وہ بجھ کر رہ گئے،

    It was just one scream, and with it they were extinguished.

    36:29

30. يَٰحَسْرَةً عَلَى ٱلْعِبَادِ ۚ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾

    Yaa hasratan 'alal 'ibaad; maa yaateehim mir Rasoolin illaa kaanoo bihee yastahzi 'oon

    اور کہا گیا کہ ہائے افسوس ان بندوں پر جب ان کے پاس کوئی رسول آتا ہے تو اس سے ٹھٹھا ہی کرتے ہیں،

    And it was said, “Woe to those bondmen – whenever a Noble Messenger comes to them, they mock at him!”

    36:30

31. أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ ﴿٣١﴾

    Alam yaraw kam ahlak naa qablahum minal qurooni annahum ilaihim laa yarji'oon

    کیا انہوں نے نہ دیکھا ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی سنگتیں ہلاک فرمائیں کہ وہ اب ان کی طرف پلٹنے والے نہیں

    Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them, which will not return to them?

    36:31

32. وَإِن كُلٌّۭ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌۭ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ ﴿٣٢﴾

    Wa in kullul lammaa jamee'ul-ladainaa muhdaroon

    اور جتنے بھی ہیں سب کے سب ہمارے حضور حاضر لائے جائیں گے

    And without exception, all of them will be brought forth before Us.

    36:32

33. وَءَايَةٌۭ لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَٰهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّۭا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ ﴿٣٣﴾

    Wa Aayatul lahumul ardul maitatu ahyainaahaa wa akhrajnaa minhaa habban faminhu yaakuloon

    اور ان کے لیے ایک نشانی مردہ زمین ہے ہم نے اسے زندہ کیا اور پھر اس سے اناج نکالا تو اس میں سے کھاتے ہیں،

    And a sign for them is the dead earth; We gave it life and We produced from it grain, so they eat from it.

    36:33

34. وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّٰتٍۢ مِّن نَّخِيلٍۢ وَأَعْنَٰبٍۢ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْعُيُونِ ﴿٣٤﴾

    Wa ja'alnaa feehaa jannaatim min nakheelinw wa a'naabinw wa fajjarnaa feeha minal 'uyoon

    اور ہم نے اس میں باغ بنائے کھجوروں اور انگو روں کے اور ہم نے اس میں کچھ چشمے بہائے کہ،

    And We have placed in it gardens of dates and grapes, and We have made springs of water in it.

    36:34

35. لِيَأْكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾

    Liyaakuloo min samarihee wa maa 'amilat-hu aideehim; afalaa yashkuroon

    اس کے پھلوں میں سے کھائیں اور یہ ان کے ہاتھ کے بنائے نہیں تو کیا حق نہ مانیں گے

    So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful?

    36:35

36. سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾

    Subhaanal lazee khalaqal azwaaja kullahaa mimmaa tumbitul ardu wa min anfusihim wa mimmaa laa ya'lamoon

    پاکی ہے اسے جس نے سب جوڑے بنائے ان چیزوں سے جنہیں زمین اگاتی ہے اور خود ان سے اور ان چیزوں سے جن کی انہیں خبر نہیں

    Purity is to Him Who created all pairs, from what the earth grows, and of themselves, and from the things they do not know.

    36:36

37. وَءَايَةٌۭ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ ﴿٣٧﴾

    Wa Aayatul lahumul lailu naslakhu minhun nahaara fa-izaa hum muzlimoon

    اور ان کے لیے ایک نشانی رات ہے ہم اس پر سے دن کھینچ لیتے ہیں جبھی وہ اندھیروں میں ہیں،

    And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness.

    36:37

38. وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّۢ لَّهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ ﴿٣٨﴾

    Wash-shamsu tajree limustaqarril lahaa; zaalika taqdeerul 'Azeezil Aleem

    اور سورج چلتا ہے اپنے ایک ٹھہراؤ کے لیے یہ حکم ہے زبردست علم والے کا

    And the sun runs its course for its final destination; this is a command of the Almighty, the All Knowing.

    36:38

39. وَٱلْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلْعُرْجُونِ ٱلْقَدِيمِ ﴿٣٩﴾

    Walqamara qaddarnaahu manaazila hattaa 'aada kal'ur joonil qadeem

    اور چاند کے لیے ہم نے منزلیں مقرر کیں یہاں تک کہ پھر ہوگیا جیسے کھجور کی پرانی ڈال (ٹہنی)

    And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm.

    36:39

40. لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّۭ فِى فَلَكٍۢ يَسْبَحُونَ ﴿٤٠﴾

    Lash shamsu yambaghee lahaaa an tudrikal qamara wa lal lailu saabiqun nahaar; wa kullun fee falaki yasbahoon

    سورج کو نہیں پہنچتا کہ چاند کو پکڑے اور نہ رات دن پر سبقت لے جائے اور ہر ایک، ایک گھیرے میں پیر رہا ہے،

    It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night surpass the day; and each one of them floats in its orbit.

    36:40

41. وَءَايَةٌۭ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ ﴿٤١﴾

    Wa Aayatul lahum annaa hamalnaa zurriyatahum fil fulkil mashhoon

    اور ان کے لیے نشانی یہ ہے کہ انہیں ان بزرگوں کی پیٹھ میں ہم نے بھری کشتی میں سوار کیا

    And a sign for them is that We lodged them in a laden ship, while they were in their forefathers backs.

    36:41

42. وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِۦ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

    Wa khalaqnaa lahum mim-mislihee maa yarkaboon

    اور ان کے لیے ویسی ہی کشتیاں بنادیں جن پر سوار ہوتے ہیں،

    And We have created for them similar ships, in which they now ride.

    36:42

43. وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

    Wa in nashaa nughriqhum falaa sareekha lahum wa laa hum yunqazoon

    اور ہم چاہیں تو انہیں ڈبودیں تو نہ کوئی ان کی فریاد کو پہنچنے والا ہو اور نہ وہ بچائے جائیں،

    And if We will, We can drown them, so there would be no help in their distress, nor would they be saved.

    36:43

44. إِلَّا رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا وَمَتَٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ ﴿٤٤﴾

    Illaa rahmatam minnaa wa mataa'an ilaa heen

    مگر ہماری طرف کی رحمت اور ایک وقت تک برتنے دینا

    Unless by mercy from Us, and as a comfort for a while.

    36:44

45. وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ ﴿٤٥﴾

    Wa izaa qeela lahumuttaqoo maa baina aideekum wa maa khalfakum la'allakum turhamoon

    اور جب ان سے فرمایا جاتا ہے ڈرو تم اس سے جو تمہارے سامنے ہے اور جو تمہارے پیچھے آنے والا ہے اس امید پر کہ تم پر مہر ہو تو منہ پھیر لیتے ہیں،

    And when it is said to them, “Beware of what is before you and what is behind you, in the hope of your gaining mercy”, they turn away!

    36:45

46. وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍۢ مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾

    Wa maa taateehim min aayatim min ayataati Rabbihim illaa kaanoo 'anhaa mu'rideen

    اور جب کبھی ان کے رب کی نشانیوں سے کوئی نشانی ان کے پاس آتی ہے تو اس سے منہ پھیرلیتے ہیں،

    And whenever a sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord, they always turn away from it!

    36:46

47. وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنُطْعِمُ مَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ﴿٤٧﴾

    Wa izaa qeela lahum anfiqoo mimmaa razaqakumul laahu qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo anut'imu mal-law yashaaa'ul laahu at'amahooo in antum illaa fee dalaalim mubeen

    اور جب ان سے فرمایا جائے اللہ کے دیے میں سے کچھ اس کی راہ میں خرچ کرو تو کافر مسلمانوں کے لیے کہتے ہیں کہ کیا ہم اسے کھلائیں جسے اللہ چاہتا تو کھلادیتا تم تو نہیں مگر کھلی گمراہی میں،

    And when it is said to them, “Spend in Allah’s cause, from what Allah has provided you”, the disbelievers say regarding the believers, “Shall we feed these, whom if Allah willed, would have fed? You are not but in open error!”

    36:47

48. وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴿٤٨﴾

    Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen

    اور کہتے ہیں کب آئے گا یہ وعدہ اگر تم سچے ہو

    And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?”

    36:48

49. مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ ﴿٤٩﴾

    Maa yanzuroona illaa saihatanw waahidatan taa khuzuhum wa hum yakhissimoon

    راہ نہیں دیکھتے مگر ایک چیخ کی کہ انہیں آلے گی جب وہ دنیا کے جھگڑے میں پھنسے ہوں گے،

    They await just one scream, which will overcome them while they are involved in worldly disputes.

    36:49

50. فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةًۭ وَلَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ ﴿٥٠﴾

    Falaa yastatee'oona taw siyatanw-wa laaa ilaaa ahlihim yarji'oon

    تو نہ وصیت کرسکیں گے اور نہ اپنے گھر پلٹ کرجائیں

    Therefore neither able to make a will, nor returning to their homes.

    36:50

51. وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَنسِلُونَ ﴿٥١﴾

    Wa nufikha fis-soori faizaa hum minal ajdaasi ilaa Rabbihim yansiloon

    اور پھونکا جائے گا صور جبھی وہ قبروں سے اپنے رب کی طرف دوڑتے چلیں گے،

    And the Trumpet will be blown – so they will come forth from the graves, running towards their Lord.

    36:51

52. قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا مَنۢ بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗ هَٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَصَدَقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿٥٢﴾

    Qaaloo yaa wailanaa mam ba'asanaa mim marqadinaa; haaza maa wa'adar Rahmanu wa sadaqal mursaloon

    کہیں گے ہائے ہماری خرابی کس نے ہمیں سوتے سے جگادیا یہ ہے وہ جس کا رحمٰن نے وعدہ دیا تھا اور رسولوں نے حق فرمایا

    Saying, “O our misfortune! Who has raised us from our sleep? This is what the Most Gracious had promised, and the Noble Messengers had spoken the truth!”

    36:52

53. إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌۭ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ ﴿٥٣﴾

    In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum jamee'ul ladainaa muhdaroon

    وہ تو نہ ہوگی مگر ایک چنگھاڑ جبھی وہ سب کے سب ہمارے حضور حاضر ہوجائیں گے

    It is just one scream, and every one of them will be brought together before Us!

    36:53

54. فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌۭ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٥٤﴾

    Fal-Yawma laa tuzlamu nafsun shai'anw-wa laa tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta'maloon

    تو آج کسی جان پر کچھ ظلم نہ ہوگا اور تمہیں بدلا نہ ملے گا اپنے کیے کا،

    So this day no soul will be wronged in the least; and you will not be compensated except for your deeds.

    36:54

55. إِنَّ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى شُغُلٍۢ فَٰكِهُونَ ﴿٥٥﴾

    Inna Ashaabal jannatil Yawma fee shughulin faakihoon

    بیشک جنت والے آج دل کے بہلاووں میں چین کرتے ہیں

    Indeed this day the dwellers of Paradise are in comfort, with blissful hearts.

    36:55

56. هُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْ فِى ظِلَٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ مُتَّكِـُٔونَ ﴿٥٦﴾

    Hum wa azwaajuhum fee zilaalin 'alal araaa'iki muttaki'oon

    وہ اور ان کی بیبیاں سایوں میں ہیں، تختوں پر تکیہ لگائے،

    They and their wives are in shades, reclining on thrones.

    36:56

57. لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ ﴿٥٧﴾

    Lahum feehaa faakiha tunw-wa lahum maa yadda'oon

    ان کے لیے اس میں میوہ ہے اور ان کے لیے ہے اس میں جو مانگیں،

    In it (paradise) are fruits for them and whatever they ask for.

    36:57

58. سَلَٰمٌۭ قَوْلًۭا مِّن رَّبٍّۢ رَّحِيمٍۢ ﴿٥٨﴾

    Salaamun qawlam mir Rabbir Raheem

    ان پر سلام ہوگا، مہربان رب کا فرمایا ہوا

    Upon them will be “Peace” – a Word from their Merciful Lord!

    36:58

59. وَٱمْتَٰزُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ﴿٥٩﴾

    Wamtaazul Yawma ayyuhal mujrimoon

    اور آج الگ پھٹ جاؤ، اے مجرمو!

    “And be separated (from others) this day, O you criminals!”

    36:59

60. ۞ أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ﴿٦٠﴾

    Alam a'had ilaikum yaa Baneee Aadama al-laa ta'budush Shaitaana innahoo lakum 'aduwwum mubeen

    اے اولاد آدم کیا میں نے تم سے عہد نہ لیا تھا کہ شیطان کو نہ پوجنا بیشک وہ تمہارا کھلا دشمن ہے،

    “O Descendants of Adam! Did I not take a covenant from you that you shall not worship the devil? Undoubtedly, he is your open enemy.”

    36:60

61. وَأَنِ ٱعْبُدُونِى ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ ﴿٦١﴾

    Wa ani'budoonee; haazaa Siraatum Mustaqeem

    اور میری بندگی کرنا یہ سیدھی راہ ہے،

    “And that you shall worship Me? This is the Straight Path.”

    36:61

62. وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّۭا كَثِيرًا ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا۟ تَعْقِلُونَ ﴿٦٢﴾

    Wa laqad adalla minkum jibillan kaseeraa; afalam takoonoo ta'qiloon

    اور بیشک اس نے تم میں سے بہت سی خلقت کو بہکادیا، تو کیا تمہیں عقل نہ تھی

    “And he has indeed led a large number of you astray; so did you not have sense?”

    36:62

63. هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ ﴿٦٣﴾

    Haazihee Jahannamul latee kuntum too'adoon

    یہ ہے وہ جہنم جس کا تم سے وعدہ تھا،

    “This is hell, which you were promised.”

    36:63

64. ٱصْلَوْهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ ﴿٦٤﴾

    Islawhal Yawma bimaa kuntum takfuroon

    آج اسی میں جاؤ بدلہ اپنے کفر کا،

    “Enter it this day – the recompense of your disbelief.”

    36:64

65. ٱلْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿٦٥﴾

    Al-Yawma nakhtimu 'alaaa afwaahihim wa tukallimunaaa aideehim wa tashhadu arjuluhum bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon

    آج ہم ان کے مونھوں پر مہر کردیں گے اور ان کے ہاتھ ہم سے بات کریں گے اور ان پاؤں ان کے کئے کی گواہی دیں گے

    This day We will set a seal on their mouths, and their hands will speak out to Us and their feet will bear witness to their deeds.

    36:65

66. وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٦٦﴾

    Wa law nashaaa'u lata masna 'alaaa aiyunihim fasta baqus-siraata fa-annaa yubsiroon

    اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو ان کی آنکھیں مٹادیتے پھر لپک کر رستہ کی طرف جاتے تو انہیں کچھ نہ سوجھتا

    And had We willed, We could have quenched their eyes so they would rush towards the path, unable to see a thing.

    36:66

67. وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخْنَٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مُضِيًّۭا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ ﴿٦٧﴾

    Wa law nashaaa'u lamasakhnaahum 'alaa makaanatihim famas-tataa'oo mudiyyanw-wa laa yarji'oon

    اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو ان کے گھر بیٹھے ان کی صورتیں بدل دیتے نہ آگے بڑھ سکتے نہ پیچھے لوٹتے

    And had We willed, We could have disfigured their faces while they were in their homes, therefore unable to go forward or turn back.

    36:67

68. وَمَن نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِى ٱلْخَلْقِ ۖ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ ﴿٦٨﴾

    Wa man nu 'ammirhu nunakkishu fil-khalq; afalaa ya'qiloon

    اور جسے ہم بڑی عمر کا کریں اسے پیدائش میں الٹا پھیریں تو کیا سمجھے نہیں

    And whomever We bring to an old age, We reverse him in creation; so do they not understand?

    36:68

69. وَمَا عَلَّمْنَٰهُ ٱلشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ وَقُرْءَانٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ﴿٦٩﴾

    Wa maa 'allamnaahush shi'ra wa maa yambaghee lah; in huwa illaa zikrunw-wa Qur-aanum mubeen

    اور ہم نے ان کو شعر کہنا نہ سکھایا اور نہ وہ ان کی شان کے لائق ہے، وہ تو نہیں مگر نصیحت اور روشن قرآن

    And We have not taught him (Prophet Mohammed- peace and blessings be upon him) to recite poetry, nor does it befit him; it is nothing but an advice and the bright Qur’an.

    36:69

70. لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّۭا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ﴿٧٠﴾

    Liyunzira man kaana haiyanw-wa yahiqqal qawlu 'alal-kaafireen

    کہ اسے ڈرائے جو زندہ ہو اور کافروں پر بات ثابت ہوجائے

    To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.)

    36:70

71. أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَآ أَنْعَٰمًۭا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَٰلِكُونَ ﴿٧١﴾

    Awalam yaraw annaa khalaqnaa lahum mimmaa 'amilat aideenaaa an'aaman fahum lahaa maalikoon

    اور کیا انہوں نے نہ دیکھا کہ ہم نے اپنے ہاتھ کے بنائے ہوئے چوپائے ان کے لیے پیدا کیے تو یہ ان کے مالک ہیں،

    Did they not see that We have created animals for them from Our handiwork, so they are their owners?

    36:71

72. وَذَلَّلْنَٰهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ ﴿٧٢﴾

    Wa zallalnaahaa lahum faminhaa rakoobuhum wa minhaa yaakuloon

    اور انہیں ان کے لیے نرم کردیا تو کسی پر سوار ہوتے ہیں اور کسی کو کھاتے ہیں،

    And have subjected the animals for them, so they ride some animals and eat some?

    36:72

73. وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ ﴿٧٣﴾

    Wa lahum feehaa manaa fi'u wa mashaarib; afalaa yashkuroon

    اور ان کے لیے ان میں کئی طرح کے نفع اور پینے کی چیزیں ہیں تو کیا شکر نہ کریں گے

    And for them in the animals are numerous different benefits and drinks; so will they not be grateful?

    36:73

74. وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةًۭ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ﴿٧٤﴾

    Wattakhazoo min doonil laahi aalihatal la'allahum yunsaroon

    اور انہوں نے اللہ کے سوا اور خدا ٹھہرالیے کہ شاید ان کی مدد ہو

    And they have appointed Gods other than Allah, that perhaps they may be helped!

    36:74

75. لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌۭ مُّحْضَرُونَ ﴿٧٥﴾

    Laa yastatee'oona nasrahum wa hum lahum jundum muhdaroon

    وہ ان کی مدد نہیں کرسکتے اور وہ ان کے لشکر سب گرفتار حاضر آئیں گے

    They (the appointed Gods) cannot help them; and they and their armies will come (to Us), as captives.

    36:75

76. فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ﴿٧٦﴾

    Falaa yahzunka qawluhum; innaa na'lamu maa yusirroona wa maa yu'linoon

    تو تم ان کی بات کا غم نہ کرو بیشک ہم جانتے ہیں جو وہ چھپاتے ہیں اور ظاہر کرتے ہیں

    Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) do not grieve because of what they (the disbelievers) say; indeed We know what they conceal and what they disclose.

    36:76

77. أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ﴿٧٧﴾

    Awalam yaral insaanu annaa khalaqnaahu min nutfatin fa-izaa huwa khaseemum mubeen

    اور کیا آدمی نے نہ دیکھا کہ ہم نے اسے پانی کی بوند سے بنایا جبھی وہ صریح جھگڑالو ہے

    And did not man see that We have created him from a drop of semen? Yet he is an open quarreller!

    36:77

78. وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًۭا وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌۭ ﴿٧٨﴾

    Wa daraba lanaa maslanw-wa nasiya khalqahoo qaala mai-yuhyil'izaama wa hiya rameem

    اور ہمارے لیے کہاوت کہتا ہے اور اپنی پیدائش بھول گیا بولا ایسا کون ہے کہ ہڈیوں کو زندہ کرے جب وہ بالکل گل گئیں،

    And he invents an example for Us, while forgetting his own creation, saying, “Who is such that can revive the bones when they have completely rotted away?”

    36:78

79. قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَهَآ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۢ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ ﴿٧٩﴾

    Qul yuh yeehal lazeee ansha ahaaa awwala marrah; wa Huwa bikulli khalqin 'Aleem

    تم فرماؤ وہ زندہ کرے گا جس نے پہلی بار انہیں بنایا، اور اسے ہر پیدائش کا علم ہے

    Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “They will be revived by the One Who created them the first time; and He is the All Knowing of every creation.”

    36:79

80. ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلْأَخْضَرِ نَارًۭا فَإِذَآ أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ ﴿٨٠﴾

    Allazee ja'ala lakum minash shajaril akhdari naaran fa-izaaa antum minhu tooqidoon

    جس نے تمہارے لیے ہرے پیڑ میں ا ٓ گ پیدا کی جبھی تم اس سے سلگاتے ہو

    “The One Who has created for you fire from the green tree, so you kindle from it.”

    36:80

81. أَوَلَيْسَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلْخَلَّٰقُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ﴿٨١﴾

    Awa laisal lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda biqaadirin 'alaaa ai-yakhluqa mislahum; balaa wa Huwal Khallaaqul 'Aleem

    اور کیا وہ جس نے آسمان اور زمین بنائے ان جیسے اور نہیں بناسکتا کیوں نہیں اور وہی بڑا پیدا کرنے والا سب کچھ جانتا،

    And is it not possible for the One Who created the heavens and the earth to create the likes of them? It is surely possible, why not? And He is the Great Creator, the All Knowing of everything.

    36:81

82. إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُۥٓ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيْـًٔا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ ﴿٨٢﴾

    Innamaa amruhooo izaaa araada shai'an ai-yaqoola lahoo kun fa-yakoon

    اس کا کام تو یہی ہے کہ جب کسی چیز کو چاہے تو اس سے فرمائے ہو جا وہ فوراً ہوجاتی ہے،

    And His only task when He intends a thing is to command it, “Be” – and it thereupon happens!

    36:82

83. فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿٨٣﴾

    Fa Subhaanal lazee biyadihee malakootu kulli shai-inw-wa ilaihi turja'oon

    تو پاکی ہے، اسے جس کے ہاتھ ہر چیز کا قبضہ ہے، اور اسی کی طرف پھیرے جاؤ گے

    Therefore Purity is to Him in Whose Hand* is the control over all things and it is towards Him that you will be returned. (Used as a metaphor to mean Power).

    36:83
