About Ramzan Special

Ramzan Special is a free companion for the daily life of a Muslim — accurate prayer times for your exact location, the Hijri date, Ramadan Sehri & Iftar timetables, a Qibla finder, a Tasbeeh counter and clear guides to Namaz, Wudu and Ghusl in English, Urdu, Hindi and Telugu.

How our prayer times work

Times are calculated astronomically from the position of the sun at your coordinates, using the open PrayTimes.org method. For India, Pakistan and Bangladesh we follow the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method (Fajr and Isha at 18°) with Hanafi Asr; other countries use their customary authority. As a precaution, Sahri is shown a few minutes before Fajr and Iftar a few minutes after sunset. Always follow your local masjid where it differs.

The Hijri date

Our Islamic dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar. Because months begin with the sighting of the crescent, the date in your country may be a day different — we note this wherever it matters.

Who we are

Ramzan Special is made in Hyderabad by the team behind the ABR e-Siren — the original electronic Ramzan siren that lets masaajid announce Sehri and Iftar through their existing azan amplifier, on less than 5 watts. Our mission is simple: help every Muslim pray and fast on time.
